Disputatio:Philippus Franciscus de Siebold

Many biological names use the form Sieboldii or Sieboldi, but so far as I can tell, the man himself always gave his Latin name as "Ph. Fr. de Siebold" Constantius, did you find the form "Sieboldus" somewhere, or did you coin it yourself?

Yes, is it my misprint though it thinks "Sieboldus" to be a singular nominative case of certain Sieboldi?

Be not able it to disappear and to take it on a certain page by me though it tried to confirm though there was Sieboldii or Sieboldi in the scientific name as you said though I saw the name of Sieboldus. --Constantius 10:48 ian 6, 2005 (UTC)

A curious article. One website that mentions a Philip Siebold in Japan says he was a Dutch doctor who married in the late 18th century—rather early in life for him, according to our article, which links to another curious article, on the good doctor's daughter Cusumoto Inea (to whom most web references are in Latin).
