There is a very nice reference Utriusque Arithmetices Epitome where the perfect number 33550336 is first exhibited. This is probably worth mentioning, if only since the result was published in Latin.

I don't trust my Latin well enough to make the addition myself, though; if someone sees this and is able to help, please do so!

Note: The result appears in chapter 7; you'll see the chart printed sideways. One tip: if you don't recognize monadicis and decadicis (I didn't), they seem to refer to 1- and 2-digit numbers, based on reading passages from some other math books in Latin.

Best rendered, I think, in English, 'units' and 'tens', and then 'hundreds' and 'thousands' for the next similar words mentioned.
