Mixtio metallica (=metallic compound, can't find alloy translated anywhere)
- Most European languages use some noun derived from the Latin verbs ligare (nl:Legering) or alligare (en:Alloy, fr:Alliage). Russian uses the very Latin-sounding word Лигатура (ligatura). I suggest looking for some word like this in a corpus of Latin alchemical works. --Fabullus 16:22, 22 Aprilis 2008 (UTC)
- Ligatura is already used for bookbinding. For the time being, however, I followed your suggestion and started the page under Ligatio metallica. If someone can get a hold of De Natura Fossilium, Agricola discusses a number of alloys there. He I am sure would be a very good source.--Rafaelgarcia 23:24, 9 Augusti 2009 (UTC)
