Perhaps "militiculus"? With regards to social standing/rank, the diminitive terms for lowest ranking soldiers are usually pedes = "foot/footsoldier", or caliga ="boot" or caligula "little boots". --24.183.186.151 14:11, 25 Octobris 2009 (UTC)
