Iovius is better than Jovius. But I am not sure we really have a source for this. The Italian source cited says that the name Gioia "may derive from the Latin name Jovius", as indeed it may. There is always the Plinian Orestis Portus which several sources [1][2][3] recognise as Gioja Tauro. Harrissimo 13:47, 1 Martii 2008 (UTC).Reply
