I see references to "Staten Island" (in the list of counties of NY State) and "Staten Insula" (on this page for example). I think "Staten Insula" makes more sense as a Latin name. I also observe that there was once a "Staten Island" page that's been deleted. I propose to pull together "Staten Insula" -- regio urbis et comitatus. I have a small sentimental attachment because I've got family there (and lived there myself for a few years). Is "Staten Insula" an appropriate page name, and am I right that we don't need separate pages for Borough and County? A. Mahoney 17:45, 17 Iunii 2011 (UTC)Reply

Melius fortasse "Insula civitatum," id quod significat "staaten eylandt"? A. Mahoney 16:40, 18 Iunii 2011 (UTC)Reply
Si a nomine Anglico incipimus, debemus scribere "Staten Insula" vel "Insula Staten". Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 17:23, 18 Iunii 2011 (UTC)Reply
Revertere ad "Insula Staten".
