Persona is probably not the word we want here. Normally in Latin it means "character" or even "mask" rather than "person." On the other hand homo, which is the closest we'll get to "person" doesn't quite cut it. Perhaps we want Index hominum illustrium (or praeclarorum)? --Usor:Iustinus

Why doesn't hominum cut it?! Hominum is the perfect word, and the exact equivalent of the word every other Wikipedia would use. I could write pages, nay, entire books explaining why "illustrium" and "praeclarorum" are deeply wrong, unnecessary, redundant, and biased in this context. -Adamas 20:17, 11 Martii 2006 (UTC)Reply
