Is it really right to use a Latinized name for a person who has not used that name for himself? I can understand the use of Latin names for kings and queens, following historic traditions within the royal houses, but not for other persons. Otherwise, shall all names be Latinized here, including names of modern athletes and rock stars? And who decides what forms to use? Skvattram 19:15, 24 Iulii 2006 (UTC)Reply

Most forms have long been standardized, ie John Ian Johannes Jan => Iohannes, James, Jim, Jake, Iakov => Iacobus, etc. In this case, Gyorgi, Jorge, George => Georgius. Others we look for attested sources, or use as close a transliteration scheme as the roman alphabet allows. Part of the intrigue of this wiki is that it doesn't always behave like other more modern ones which will allow entries in other scripts, and languages.--Ioshus Rocchio 19:30, 24 Iulii 2006 (UTC)Reply
