If the city bears the name of Christopher Columbus, why do we not keep it at that name. Columbus is perfectly acceptable to latin. The article on Columbus uses "Columbus."Andy85719 00:58, 17 Iulii 2007 (UTC)Reply

Obviously, any city named Columbus in English is Columbus in Latin (and so says Traupman). Wherever did the idea of "Columbus City" (Columbopolis) come from? IacobusAmor 01:21, 17 Iulii 2007 (UTC)Reply
I agree. The Catholic diocese is "Dioecesis Columbensis" (see [1]) suggesting that the basic name is or should be Columbus. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:23, 17 Iulii 2007 (UTC)Reply
There's definitely nothing on the rest of the internet for Columbopolis, except for one person in a Roman themed Web Forum who says he comes from 'Columbopolis, Ohii', which he may even have taken from this site. --Harrissimo 22:03, 17 Iulii 2007 (UTC)Reply
It's in Egger's DL. Shall I move? Harrissimo 13:13, 19 Ianuarii 2008 (UTC).Reply
I think then we should change the name in Formula:MaximaeUrbesAmericanae, too. Actually, that is also the place where I got the name of this article. Mars412 03:18, 13 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)Reply
Revertere ad "Columbopolis".
