Somehow, though, this is unsatisfying:

Colonisatio? Europaea Americarum est spatium temporis inter annum 1492 et saeculum XIX, in quo nationes Europaeae terras in Americano continente ceperunt, rexerunt et populaverunt.
The European colonizing of the Americas is the period between the year 1492 and the nineteenth century, in which European tribes seized, marked out the boundaries of, and plundered lands on the American continent.

Colonisatio?? recensere

I believe we've standardized on using 'z' in these words, haven't we? I see 'z' on many other pages, and I believe I was corrected when I used 's'.
