Communitas intentionalis est destinata communitas domiciliaris, a principio designata ut summam tenacitatem gregariam et teamwork habeat. Sodales communitatis intentionalis communem visum socialem, civicum, religiosum, vel spiritualem usitate habent, et saepe alternum vitae propositum sequuntur. Curas et opes per typum partiunt. Inter communitates intentionales sunt familiae collectivae, communia codomiciliorum, oecovici, communia, recessus survivalistici, kibbutzim, monasteria, ashram, et cooperativa comiciliaria. Novi sodales plerumque ab exstantibus communitatis sodalibus eliguntur, potius a praediatoribus vel possessoribus soli (si terra non a communitate collective possidetur).
