Juglandaceae (nomen botanicum ab Augustino Pyramo de Candolle statutum) sunt familia arborum altarum et aliquando fruticum monoecorum anemophilorum nuciferorum ordinis Fagalium. Species huius familiae in America, Eurasia, et Asia Meridio-Orientali endemica sunt.

Juglans Persica, Juglans regia, est una ex messibus nuciferis maximi momenti. Praeterea, lignum juglandis, caryae, alfaroaeque est materia pretiosa.

Descriptio recensere

Juglandaceis sunt magna folia aromatica alterna, sed in Alfaroa et Oreomunnea opposita. Folia decidua vel perennia, pinnatim composita vel ternata, et plerumque 20–100 cm longa sunt. Flores, unisexuales ventoque pollinati, in amentis plerumque ordinantur. Fructus plerumque sunt drupae.
