Ecclesia cathedralis Wintoniensis

Ecclesia cathedralis Wintoniensis in urbe Wintoniae visitatur, capitali olim Wessexiae omnisque Angliae. Cathedrali anteriori loco propinquo iam anno 642 condita, haec ecclesia nova cura Walchelini episcopi anno 1079 incepta, anno 1093 inaugurata est, reliquiis sancti Swithuni episcopi Wintoniensis (qui anno 863 obierat) rite translatis. Materies praesertim e lapicidinis prope Binstead insulae Vectae advecta est. Navis ecclesiae stilo perpendiculari saeculo XIV exeunte refecta est, episcopo Willelmo de Wykeham.
