Whether or not that is true, I think I would go for "Odontologia" for our title: it is a Greek loanword, but Roman doctors liked those, and it does avoid the dispute as to whether we are talking about medicine or surgery.

==Further Research on Declaratio Independentiae==
It appears, according to many sources, that the Declaration of Independence has never been translated into Latin by anyone. According to David Armitage in his book ''The Declaration of Independence: A Global History'', the English nature of the document has prevented many from daring to translate it in Latin, and translations into other languages are very difficult to find. (Many are incomplete. For example, I had to look in a Spanish publication entitled: ''Semanario Político, Económico y Literario'' from Dec. 12, 1821, to find a complete Spanish translation) The book specifically says: "...it is notable that the Declaration seems never to have been translated into Latin, in 1776 or since." The same seemed to be true of the U.S. Constitution until this site provided the translated text of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Anyone on this site that translates it and puts the translation on the Internet may indeed be the first person to ever publish a Latin translation of the document. (This is supposed to be an incentive for a Vicipaedia editor to translate the document. I made a Spanish translation before I found an actual published version so I can attest that the translation in general shouldn't be too hard for someone skilled in Latin.
