Names of monarchs

Linea 2:
We went with ''Iosephus'' because that was the form used in the official [http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/elezione/index_en.htm habemus Papam] declaration. Given that that is about as official (or at least prestigious) a source as it gets, and that declinable forms tend to make our lives easier, I would recommend we go with that unless you have some pretty overwhelming evidence. The name of the saint is not necessarily relevant--compare the distinction between ''Iacob'' and ''Iacobus''! --[[Usor:Iustinus|Iustinus]] 05:16 aug 11, 2005 (UTC)
:However, so far as I can tell, for Wojtyła the indeclinable form seems to be correct. --[[Usor:Iustinus|Iustinus]] 05:33 aug 11, 2005 (UTC)
