Dear Billinghurst: in the past ten months, the source of which you write has invaded numerous articles, including [[Abortus]], [[Aegyptus]], [[Anaesthesia]], [[Anura]], [[Aqua]], [[Cairus]], [[Charta]], [[Chemia]], [[Chirurgia]], [[Civitates Foederatae Americae]], [[Consilium securitatis]], [[Culicidae]], [[Dammam]], [[David (rex)]], [[Diarium]], ''[[Euglena]],'' [[Faeces]], [[Herba]], ''[[Hyoscyamus niger]],'' [[Ignis]], [[Laboratorium]], [[Linguae mundi]], [[Lympha]], [[Medicina]], [[Medicina dentium]], [[Manufollium]], [[Muhafaza]], ''[[Musca]],'' [[Primum auxilium]], [[Rectangulum]], [[Salus]], [[Silva]], [[Sutura chirurgica]], [[Systema periodicum]], [[Therapia]], [[Tramen]], [[Ucraina]], [[Valetudinarium]], [[Vermis]], [[Vesper]], and [[Virus immunodeficientiae humanae]], returning to several of them from time to time after the lapse of weeks or months. The targets and the texts inserted into them appear to have a medical theme, or at least something to do with lab experiments & drugs, but it's unknown whether the insertions are personal memoranda or interpersonal messages. ¶ The unwanted edits have come from IP addresses including (if they've been transcribed correctly here):

Most (or all?) of these addresses have been used on a single day only, sometimes in multiple articles on that day; for example, [[Charta]] and [[Laboratorium]] via 197.38.21.236 on 26 November 2018. The longest temporal gap may have been between 26 August 2018 ([[Tramen]]) and 29 October 2018 ([[Sutura chirurgica]]). ¶ It has often been thought that the best solution would be to block all IP addresses starting with the digits 37 and 41 and 197, but people in the know have said that such an action would be inadvisable or impossible.
