For royal court [[Words]] says Aula is the right word.

Whereas for palace
regia, regiae N (1st) F 1 1 F [XXXDX] palace, court; residence;
Whereas looking up palatium gives
Palatium, Palati(i) N (2nd) N [XXIBX] Palatine Hill;
