Linea 1 250:
::In the first sentence I think it very important for us to give the exact facts about Latin names, based on Latin sources. If a name is not known to be Latin (like Makemake and Sedna) I would remove any indication of declension and gender. Foreign names ''can'' be treated as foreign and indeclinable in Latin -- there's plenty of support for that practice in reliable Latin sources, and it is the most helpful thing for readers.
::In the text, if a previous editor has treated a word as Latin (e.g. writing "Sednae" for a genitive) I do not see the need to change it. That's OK in Latin too, and even the inconsistency is OK! But if I am rewriting the whole text anyway, I would not do it that way myself: I would write [e.g.] "planetulae Sedna" for the genitive.
