Juan Caramuel de Lobkowitz that writes hexahedrum, also writes octahedrum, with an -h, while in classical Latin (Lewis & Short), octaedros is written without -h.
Maybe I was a little bit to harsh on J.C. de Lobkowitz as the Tensaurus Italograecus attests hexahedrum (and octahedrum, but writes octaedros without an h. Complicated..)
