Wyatt: Whoso list to hunt
Paullo postea, anno fortasse 1526 vel 1527, Thomas Wyatt carmen Petrarchianum Anglice recreavit (incipit "Whoso list to hunt"). Ab omnibus fere intellegitur "Caesarem" huius poëmatis regem Henricum VIII esse, "cervam" Annam Bolenam olim fortasse amicam ipsius Wyatt, sed iam regis uxorem. Poëta verba in collare cervae inscripta ita partim Latine, partim Anglice citat:
::Noli me tangere, for Caesar's I am,<br />
::And wild for to hold, though I seem tame.
