Foedus Contra Imperialismum
Foedus Contra Imperialismum (Anglice American Anti-Imperialist League) fuit societas die 15 Iunii 1898 condita, ad pugnandam adiectionem Philippinarum ut regio insulana dicata. Sodales auctui dicionis repugnaverunt, imperialismum putantes violare primum gubernationis republicanae iustae praeceptum ab assensu gubernatorum deducenda esse. Potius quam auctui finium Civitatum Foederatarum ob causas humanitarianias adversari, foedus arguit talem actionem derelictionem cogere Americanorum gubernationis sui et non interventus exemplarium, quae in Declaratione Libertatis Civitatum Foederatarum, Oratione Valedictoria Georgii Vasingtonii, et Oratione Gettysburgensi Abrahamae Lincoln exprimuntur.[1] Foedus ad ultimum in proelio opinionis publicae superatum est a viris rerum civilium peritis qui utilitatem auctus dicionis Americanae, Bello Hispano-Americano confecto, primis saeculi vicensimi annis prospere suaserunt. Foedus die 27 Novembris 1920 dimittus est.[2]
