Deutsch: Die nordseitigen Wappen am Albertinischen Chordach des Stephansdoms in der österreichischen Bundeshauptstadt Wien.
Dargestellt sind die Wappen der Republik Österreich (bei dem allerdings der Adler in die falsche Richtung blickt) und der Stadt Wien, die durch die Zahl 1950 (Abschluss der Dachdeckung nach Zerstörung im II. WK) verbunden sind. Insgesamt sind am Dom rund 230.000 bunt glasierte Dachziegel verbaut. Jeder dieser Ziegel wiegt etwa 2,5 Kg, ist mit zwei Kupfernägel an die Dachsparren angenagelt und zusätzlich noch in Mörtel gebettet. Am südseitigen Albertinischen Chordach ist das Wappen des österreichischen Kaisertums mit der Jahreszahl 1831 (Neueindeckung des Daches) sowie dem Monogramm F.I. (Franz I.) dargestellt. |
