Summarium

Descriptio
English: On a website (https://mardin.ktb.gov.tr/TR-311718/anitli-meryem-ana-kilisesi.html ) one can read "The church, unique from an architectural point of view, is located in the southern part of Anıtlı Village. The temple named as Yoldath Aloho (Mother of God); often referred to as Al Harda (virgin) in Arabic. The construction date of the church associated with the birth of Jesus. It is thought that the structure was initially built as triumphal arch-shaped Roman structure in the 1st century, later converted to church between 5th and 6th centuries. The external superstructure of the dome and the bell tower are 20th century additions. The church resembles the Deyrulzeferan monastery with its square plan and central dome, which is rare in Mardin."
