Deutsch: Durchsichtige Fruchtschale aus Glas. Ausschnitt aus einer Wandmalerei im Schlafzimmer M der römischen Villa des P. Fannius Synistor in Boscoreale (Italien). Die Villa Boscoreale wurde wahrscheinlich kurz nach der Mitte des 1. Jh. v. Chr. gebaut. Das Haus brannte beim Ausbruch des Vesus 79 n. Chr. nieder und wurde 1900 wiederentdeckt.
English: Transparent glass bowl of fruit. Detail from wall painting in Bedroom M of the Roman Villa of P. Fannius Synistor at Boscoreale, Italy. The Villa Boscoreale was probably built shortly after the middle of the first century BC. It burned in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 and was rediscovered in 1900.
