Object history
Deutsch: Das erste bekannte Siegel der Stadt von 1560 zeigt die „redende" Wappenfigur der Aspe (Espe) im Schild, wobei der aus dem Unterrand wachsende Stamm beiderseits von je einer kleinen Hirschstange begleitet ist. Anstelle der Hirschstangen als Zeichen der württembergischen Stadtherrschaft sind in Siegeln des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts zwei Sterne zu sehen. Seit dem 19. Jahrhundert wird die Aspe von zwei Hirschstangen in voller Höhe begleitet. Dieser auf einer farbigen Zeichnung von 1596 fußenden Form des Stadtwappens wurde noch der in einem Siegel von 1693 erstmals auftretende, auf die zweite Silbe des Stadtnamens bezügliche Dreiberg hinzugefügt. Die Flaggenfarben wurden 1933 aus dem Wappen abgeleitet.
