English: Full colour photograph showing a person walking along the historic Queenscliff Pier and the Queenscliff beach taken into the setting sun, illustrating the effects of contre-jour photography. Note the technique involving careful timing and control has resulted in the loss of detail and colour on the subject leading to a sepia toning effect, and a combination of silhouetting where the backlighting is strongest in front of the disc of the sun, and strong low-key lighting in other areas. Queenscliff, Victoria, Australia, 5 Dec, 2009.
