Summarium

Commentary (rus.):

Монумент Burschenschaftsdenkmal воздвигнут на холме Гёппель (Göppelskuppe) в пригороде Айзенаха (Eisenach) в 1902 году по проекту архитектора Вильгельма Крайса (Wilheln Kreis) в память о происшедшем здесь с 18 октября 1817 года грандиозном студенческом празднике. Поводом к празднованию была четвёртая годовщина Битвы народов и 300 -летие начала эпохи протестантизма. Тогда здесь собралось около 500 представителей националистически ориентированных студенческих союзов из всех земель Германии. Первый такой союз был создан неподалёку в Йене в июне 1817 года, а в октябре 1818 года снова в Йене был созван Второй студенческий съезд под лозунгом «Честь.Свобода и Отечество» под чёрно-красно-золотым знаменем, ставшим затем национальным флагом Германии.
