English: A scene from a 1300's book, of a king playing backgammon. The image has been modified (original page has heraldic signs which are removed in this picture). A similar scene is described by 6th century Byzantine poet in a poem of Agathias found in W:en:Anthologia Palatina. This figure was modified so that it can be used as an illustration in the el:Wikisources article concerning the poem |
