Priva est verum verbum Latinum, quod 'single, every; particular, special, one's own; deprived of (+ gen.)' significat; ergo vita priva Anglice = 'a single life, every life; a particular life, a special life, one's own life'. (Sed 'deprived of life' casum genetivum poscit: vitae privus.) Locutio Vita priva ut videtur 'private life' non significare potest. Cassell's quidem dicit verbum contra publicus esse privatus. Now I find the term "res privata" together with "res publica", the former can be considered as the origin of "ius privatum" on ius civile. Although there are some difference between ius Romanum" and modern international law, the right of privacy seems to be derived from "ius privatum", thus I choose the word "Vita privata" as Latin version of privacy or "vie privé". --LilyKitty 04:21, 20 Augusti 2011 (UTC)
