Disputatio:Demonyma

Latest comment: abhinc 1 annum by Andrew Dalby

As my Latin is not that good, I will write in English. I created this page as an "index" of all demonyms (that is, adjectives and names for relation to places, like English has Englishman, English, etc.), considering also that such lists exist on other languages wikipedias. Hopefully it'll be enhanced with all ancient Rome and ancient Greece related demonyms. - Iohannes Italus

Some of these Latin terms appear to be invented -- notably the ones for modern French administrative subdivisions. Vicipaedia is not a place for invented words. If no Latin adjective can be found in a good source, that's it. Please remove invented terms.
Species names (botanical, zoological etc.) and names of dioceses (which can be verified here) are good sources. When a source can be found, it should be cited in a footnote, either on the page about the place, or here. Assuming that you want to go on working on this, I have placed {{In progressu}} at the head of the page. Please let it stay there until any invented terms have been removed.
