Aemilia?

I believe it should be Amalia Earhart, not Aemilia which is Eng. 'Emily'. They are historically different names: Aemilia is the fem. of classical Aemilius, while Amalia is from old German. See also Usor:Pantocrator/Praenomina Latina.

Thanks for holding off. En:Amelia (given name) seems to say both Aemilia and Amalia are arguably correct. What do you others think? I'm sure Ioscius has an opinion here ;) --Iustinus 04:03, 18 Iunii 2011 (UTC)

I agree with Pantocrator and Myces that "Aemilia" is not convincing: en:Amelia (given name), though not written very clearly, supports this view. I would be for retaining the original name "Amelia", but I agree that "Amalia" is possible. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 09:39, 18 Iunii 2011 (UTC)
