Penryn est oppidum comitatús Cornubiae ad occidentalem partem Angliae extremam iacentis. Ibi nundinae tenebantur ab anno 1236, mercatus autem ab anno 1259. Collegium de Glasneth hic floruit, ab episcopo Exoniensi Gualtero Bronscomb anno 1265 conditum, anno 1548 dissolutum.
