Ideologia[1] (Graece ἰδεολογία 'dogma de cogitationibus sententiisque') est una ex multis cogitationibus sententiisque de universo mundi vel earum rerum systematibus. Quae notio in usu in philosophia, politica, sociologia, oeconomia est. Notio nonnumquam solummodo describere vult, nonnumquam autem cogitationes et sententias castigat.

Carolus Marx dicit praevalentem societatis ideologiam esse necessariam suae superstructurae pars.

Ideologia secundum Ludovicum Althusserum, philosophum Marxisticum Francicum, est rerum exsistentia animo ficta (sive idea) sicut ad veras exsistentiae condiciones pertinet."[2]
