Andrew, were you thinking here of 'server'? The part of the text of Servus that you may be using this gloss to suppress had a different point: I was thinking of 'slave', a machine that obeys or is otherwise directly responsive to another machine. For example, a photographer might position some flash units to be slaves of the camera, and a printer can be a slave of a computer. IacobusAmor 18:20, 1 Septembris 2009 (UTC)
- Those aren't my words (except that I tried to disambiguate "rete"). So you have a clean slate. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 19:05, 1 Septembris 2009 (UTC)
- I think "server" can be better and more specifically translated as latin: minister (waiter). Servus (rete) can then be used for any slave application or object.--Rafaelgarcia 19:29, 1 Septembris 2009 (UTC)
